Hanley H. Rexroad, age 95 of Ireland, WV, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Saint JosephÂ's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV.
He was born January 7, 1916 in Bablin, WV, a son of the late Oscar and Laura Boggs Rexroad. Hanley was preceded in death on March 28, 2006 by his wife, Freda J. Caynor Rexroad, who he married on February 1, 1941; his son, William T. Rexroad on August 27, 2009 and 2 brothers, Lacey Rexroad and Milton Andrew Rexroad.
He was a certified tree farmer, had worked at the Louie Glass Company of Weston, WV, the Ireland Post Office and the Weston State Hospital. Hanley was a member of the Gospel Trio with his late wife, Freda and his cousin, Shirley Webster. He was a member of the Bablin UM Church.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday at the Alkire Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2011 with Rev. Earl Cayton and Rev. Lonnie Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at the McCutcheon Chapel Cemetery at Ireland.
