Dies at Age 82;
Rites Thursday
Services for Mrs. Grace McCorkle, 82, of 246 S. Old Manor, society editor for The Wichita Eagle during the 1920s who died Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Downing East Mortuary. Entombment is to be in Old Mission Mausoleum.
Born in Hutchinson, she moved to Wichita 60 years ago. She was a member of Wichita Art Association and Wichita Country Club.
Survivors include her widower, C. A. an attorney; a son Clark G., Kansas City; a brother, Arthur Graves, Hutchinson, and six sisters, Mrs Maud VanArsdale, Wichita, Mrs. Charlene Allison, Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell, Mrs. Ruth Dixon, Mrs. Marjorie Glass, and Mrs Haulda Taylor, all of Hutchinson.
A memorial has been established with the Heart Fund.
