She was a graduate of Fargo (ND) High School and Moorhead (MN) State Teachers College. She taught elementary students in Fargo as well as in Manila (Philippines).

Hope married Jonathan Alexander (Alex) Munro in Fargo on June 16, 1927. They had one daughter, Jane Ann. The family lived in Fargo until 1951, then in La Paz, Bolivia; Manila, Philippine Islands; Beirut, Lebanon; Arcadia CA and Springfield IL.

There are two grandchildren in whom she took great delight. She spent much quality time with them.

Surviving are her husband Alex Munro, daughter Jane Ann (husband, John) Dosland, grandchildren Steffen Munro Dosland and Julie Ann Dosland, all of Springfield; a brother, James Wayne Beatty and two sisters, Vera Remund and Floy Gregerson.
