President Is Dead
Mrs. Hulda C. Beckett, 77, of 433 S. Oliver, died Friday. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Downing East Mortuary. Entombment will be in Old Mission Mausoleum.
Born in Marietta, Ohio, she came here in 1938 from Tulsa. Her husband Lee died in 1950, and her first husband, Earl Hedrick, died in the early 1930's.
Survivors include a son, Frank E. Hedrick, Wichita, president of Beech Aircraft corp.; three sisters, Mrs. Carl E. Weiser, New York City, Mrs. R. J. Probst, Eagle Rock, Mo., and Mrs. Walter H. Beech, Eastborough, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Beech Aircraft Corp.
A memorial has been established with Wesley Medical Center.
Hulda's first husband and the father of Frank Hedrick was Melvin Earl Hedrick. He was born, May 15, 1889, in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas, and died 1930. Place of death and burial information unknown as of November 2014. DS
