Gerald Abbey 84, of Rossford, passed away June 29, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Whether fishing, playing cards, spending time with family or finally achieving his dream of attending the Kentucky Derby he was always satisfied! He was blessed to spend the last 17 years of his life with his caring companion "wife" Sharon Antesky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine and special grandson, Jordan. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by daughter Danielle (Michael) Petty; sons, Chris Abbey, Steve (Loni) Abbey, Mitch Antesky; 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Sorry no services by his request, just happy memories and a few special quotes to remember him by: "It's so good to hear your voice; I knew you wouldn't forget me!" "Hang on it's gonna be a rough one!" "Dirty Ole Mop Squeezer" "I'm proud of you, you're a good eater!" "WE GO!!!"
