Mr. Lewey Lawrence Cato, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2015. He was the son of Lawrence and Mae Quinn Cato. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Johnson Cato.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday at 11am, December 31, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, in Hamlet North Carolina. The entombment will be in the Richmond Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Lewey was married to Hilda Johnson Cato on 2-14-1940. He was the son of Lawrence (1895/1919) and Mae Quinn Cato Hazen (1892/1984.) He was the grandson of Elizabeth Cato and Thomas & Adeline Quinn.
Lawrence died during the flu epedimic in 1919 at the age of 24, two weeks before his baby daughter was born.
