HENRY LEIERER DIES
The community was saddened Monday when the word came that Henry Leierer had passed away at the General Hospital at Enid. Mr. Leierer had been in poor health for several months and was operated upon Sunday at Enid. The operation was successful and he was thought to be getting along satisfactorily until after Monday when complications arose which resulted in his death about 3:00 o'clock Monday afternoon.

The body was brought to Hunter Tuesday and funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Taylor of Enid, and interment was made in the Hunter cemetery.

Henry Fulton Leierer was born in Mt. Pleasant, Henry Co., Ia., March 27, 1862, and died in Enid, Okla., October 23, 1916, aged 54 years, 6 months and 26 days. He leaves to mourn his untimely end, a wife, four sons, three daughters and six grandchildren. One daughter preceded him to the great beyond ten years ago. He was married to Martha Staumbaugh on May 26, 1886.

Mr. Leierer was an old settler in this community and was identified with the growth and advancement of this country in a marked degree. Honest and ever a staunch advocate of right and fair play, he counted his warm personal friends by the scores, and these friends now feel deeply their loss in his death.

The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved family.
