William Elsworth Asher, 43, of Oakland, CA a native of Gladstone, IL, died in Oakland Nov. 20. He was born April 16, 1907 the son of Jesse & Ida Alice (McIntire) Asher, he was a veteran of World War II and was a construction worker.

Surviving are 5 sisters, Mrs. Frank McKee of Burlington; Mrs. Elmer Noren of Chicago; Mrs. FLorence Krummel of Galesburg; Mrs. Wyman Conlon of Gilson, IL; Mrs. George Haller of Gary, IN; and three brothers, Arthur Asher of Mediapolis; Loyd Asher of Davenport, IA; and Jesse Archer of Galesburg, IL; along with several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held in Prugh's Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA. Burlington Hawk-Eye Gazzette, (Burlington, IA) Saturday, November 25, 1950, p. 9, col. 3
