Ray James Adams, 71, died June 9, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Adams was a retired salesman for Motor Service and Parts with 38 years of service. He was a Protestant, member of Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113 A.F. and A.M., Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Norfolk, and the Khedive Temple AAONMS of Norfolk. He was the son of the late Julias and Louie Dillard Adams.

Survivors include a son, Ray J. Adams Jr. of Virginia Beach and a sister, Elizabeth Pauline of Dunedin, Fla.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hampton Cemetery in Waterlilly, N.C. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Twiford Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Masonic Rites will be accorded during visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
