Mr. Friddle had served a three-year enlistment with the U.S. Marine Corps. He died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to police, who found him at a Burlington Drive address late Saturday.
Survivors are his wife, Charline; a son, Jerry Lee; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mapes, Muncie; a brother, Eugene, Muncie; three half-sisters, Norma Mapes, Mrs. Maxine Younger and Mrs. Dorothy Friddle, all of Muncie; and a half-brother, Lewis P. Friddle, Muncie.
Funeral services will be at Parson Mortuary Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John T. Conaway directing. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Monday.
