Funeral services for John C. Bradfield, 39, of 5135 Corrigan, a Navy veteran who was at Pearl Harbor when the Hawaiian base was attacked by the Japanese in 1941, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Macom-Holcomb Funeral Chapel, 8142 Lake June Road.
The Rev. S. F. Cruz will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Bradfield was dead on arrival at a Dallas hospital Saturday after a heart attack in his home.
He was born in Dallas and attended David Crockett and Crozier Technical schools. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1940.
Mr. Bradfield, was aboard the U.S.S. Dorsey, a destroyer that was stationed at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked the base.
His wife, the former Miss Katie Mae Hiett of Dallas, died almost a year ago.
Survivors are five daughters, Judy Bradfield, Marily [Marilyn] Bradfield, Carol Bradfield, Gloria Bradfield, and Anita Bradfield, all of Dallas; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Bradfield of Dallas; six brothers, Robert Bradfield, Eugene Bradfield, Howard Bradfield, and Kenneth Bradfield, all of Dallas, Donald Bradfield of Torrance, Calif., and Richard Bradfield with the U.S. Navy, and three sisters, Mrs. Carl W. French of Houston, Mrs. L. D. Frey of Garland, and Mrs. Wayne Kennedy of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Richard Burgess Ralph Burgess, George Rasmussen, Tommy Sands, Wally Wall, and L. D. Murrah
