Margaret Shelangoski Margaret Shelangoski, 86, of Belle, Mo., formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at her home.
Born Sept. 26, 1909, in Henry County, she was the daughter of Thornton and Alma Cook Alter. She married William Ledger. She later married Bernard Shelangoski, who died in 1983.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include one daughter, Edith Bush of Belle, Mo.; two sons, Leroy Bush and Lewis Bush, also of Belle, Mo.; one sister, Myrtle Starr of Wayland; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters, two in infancy.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 1030 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
The graveside service for Mrs. Shelangoski will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. A memorial has been established for the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant.
