Erma Bell Kindred, 88, of Checotah died Sunday at her home following a long illness.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church here with Reverend Wayne Brown officiating.
Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
She was born February 22, 1898 at Fayetteville, Ark. Survivors include her husband, Houston of the home, a son, Pete of Seattle, Washington; three daughters, Leola Kindred and Ila Adams of Wichita, Kansas and Virginia Kiefer of Topeka, Kansas; four sisters, Florence Brown of Tulsa; Ida Hopkins of Fort Worth, Texas, Margie Lucas of Checotah and Louise Pierce of Rialto, California; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
