Dover Funeral Held
Monday Afternoon
Funeral services for William S. Dover, 66 years old, who died at the hospital in Vinita last Thursday were held at the Checotah Baptist church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. J. M. James officiating. Burial was in Green lawn cemetery under direction of the Powers Funeral home.
Dover was born and reared, near Sidney in Izard county. Ark. He was married to Susan Margaret
Fudge in l894. They were the parents of 13 children 11 of whom survvive. He was a progressive farmer in Arkansas until 1916 when he moved to Checotah to make his home. For the past 15 years he has been overseer of butchering for the meat markets of the city.
Survivors besides his wife include: three daughters, Anna of Checotah, Telia of Tulsa and Mrs.
Clara Frakes of Enid; eight sons, five of whom are in the army, Pvt Earl and Pvt. Billy, both of whom are in the Hawaiian Islands, Pvt. Leonard of Indiantown Gap, Penn., Pfc. Lee of Camp Carson, Colo., CpL Boyce of Camp Swift, Texas, Everett of Blackfoot, Idaho, Ewing of Oakland, Calif., Walter of Tulare, Calif; one brother, Charley of Cave, Ark., three. sisters, Mrs. W.J. Marlin of Muskogee, Mrs. Laura Gilstrap of Keota and Mrs. Jack Gipson of Newark, Ark.
