Morris Edmund Oliver was the son of Benjamin Franklin Oliver (1848-1929) and Amanda Whitton (1853-1900). He was the Brother of:

(1.) Cora Lee Oliver (1872-1900)
(2.) John P. Oliver (1881-1935)
(3.) Charles Wesley Oliver (1885-1955)
(4.) David Anthony Oliver (1890-1972)
(5.) Winnie Beatrice Oliver (1893-1984)
(6.) Jenny Chesalee Oliver (1895-1989)
(7.) Pate Franklin Oliver (1898-1983)



Morris Edmund Oliver married first to Pansy Flood on April 06, 1915 in Etowah County, Alabama, and they had two children together by their marriage:

(1) James Edward Oliver (Feb 16, 1916 AL - March 29, 1967 AL)

(2) William Leroy Oliver (Apr 12, 1919 AL - Nov 01, 1992 AL).

MORRIS EDMUND OLIVER

Morris Edmund Oliver, 68, Route 2, Attalla, died at his home unexpectedly at 4 p.m. yesterday.

Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Revs. Carl Spraggins and Charlie Lemmons officiating.

Burial will be in Gadsden Memory Garden with Collier-Butler directing.

Surviving are two sons, W. L. and James E. Oliver of Gadsden AL; two brothers, Pate Oliver, Route 4, Boaz, and Dave Oliver, Attalla; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Patterson and Mrs Cheasilee Morgan, Anniston, and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Oliver was a retired barber. He was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County AL.

Active pallbearers will be Ernest and R. C. Lemons, B. W. Rothrock, Roscoe Nunn, H. B. Skelton and W. M. Hobgood.

Honorary pallbearers will be H. Lumpkin, George P. Walker, Jr., Dr. W. W. Roman, Gene Hammonds, Hub Wells, Dwight Kimble, Dr. T. M. Owens and John Hibbs.
