Dr. Thomas Arthur Hunt, 52, attended school in Oklahoma until his senior year in high school when his parents moved to Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas and then attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He did his residency in Kansas City General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Hunt served in the US Army during World War II. After his military service, he opened a private practice in Electra, Texas. Dr. Hunt moved to Memphis, Texas where he lived for 12 years. He married Miss Diane Meacham on 26 January 1951 in Memphis, Texas. He spent one year in Montana before moving to Rupert where he was chief-of-staff at the hospital. He moved to American Falls in 1968 where he practiced medicine. Dr. Hunt was a member of Rupert United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; one son; one daughter; one step-daughter; one sister. Services were held in the United Methodist Church in Rupert officiated by Rev. Raymond A. Thompson.
