Lovell Gast

Lovell H. Gast, 86, Grandview, Iowa, died Thursday, April 21, 1994, at Wapello Nursing and Care Center.

Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Linn Manor Care Center, Marion, Iowa.

The former Lovell Shedenhelm was born Aug. 23, 1907, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Grafton and Pheba Yearian Shedenhelm. She married Daniel Gast May 14, 1938, in Muscatine.

Mrs. Gast had attended the former Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls.

She had taught in various rural schools at Marengo, Shellsburg, Vining and then Grandview prior to her marriage.

She was active in the Grandview Assembly Church.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Claudia Mae Gast, Davenport; sons, Jerry Gast, Wapello, and Garth Gast, Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and brothers, Russell and Ray Shedenhelm, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
