Mrs. Arthur Winebright, aged 88. of 220 South First Street, died Friday at 3 p.m. at Monmouth Hospital.
The former Jennie June Russell was born 1 June 1879 at Roseville, the daughter of Judd and Laura (McReynolds) Russell. Reared and educated in Roseville, who was married there 26 February 1903 to Arthur Winebright. The couple farmed near Monmouth, retiring and moving into Monmouth in 1937. Mr. Winebright preceded her in death in 1955. She was a member of the First Methodist church and of the Farmers Academy book club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. E.G. (Ruth) McCain of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Lester Matheny (Mary June) of West London, Iowa, as well as five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters; Mrs. Clifford Lewis of Rosevile, Mrs. Flora Roberts of Peoria and Mrs. Clarence Foley of Monmouth, as well as a number of neices, nephews and other relatives. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Laura Tubbs, a son, Judson Winebright and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Holliday and Hoover Memorial Chapel in charge of the Reverend Perry Bishop of the First Methodist church. Burial will take place in Center Grove cemetery in Kirkwood.
Friends may call at the Holliday and Hoover Memorial Chapel any time Sunday and until the hour of the service, Monday.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Winebright?s memory for the First Methodist church and memorials may be left at the Holliday and Hoover Chapel
