Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 6:00 PM -9:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Bethel Cemetery near Burnet, Texas. Rev. Kenneth Engledow of Wichita Falls, Texas will officiate. Services are entrusted to McNett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schooley was born January 20, 1931 in Marble Falls, Texas. She married L.B. Schooley March 30, 1951 in Burnet, TX. They moved to Andrews in 1953 for a short time and after several moves they moved back to Andrews for good, in 1963 from Austin. She loved to cook and she enjoyed collecting magazines. Her family was descendants of the Tow family that established the Community of Tow, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Natalie Thomas, two brothers, Howard and Lloyd Thomas and two sisters, Beulah Jackson and Bernetta Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Lavon B. "L.B." Schooley of Andrews; one son, Calvin Schooley and his wife, Mickey of Lubbock; one sister, Betty Conn of Leander, Texas; two granddaughters, Tamra Lowery and Teresa Engledow and five great-grandchildren.
