Mr. Wilson died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 14, 2004, at his home.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus No. 1418 and was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Wilson; four daughters, Gwen Ellegood, Cassie Hammonds and Marie Woodrum, all of Fancy Farm, and Mary Donna Eubanks of Hickory; five sons, Wallie Wilson and Larry Wilson, both of Fancy Farm, George Wilson and Mark Wilson, both of Mayfield, and Tim Wilson of Arlington; three sisters, Mary Lou Hall and Marie Johnson, both of Fancy Farm, and Jane Toon of Mayfield; one brother, Louis Elmer Wilson of Fancy Farm; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Gayla Wilson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; and sister. His parents were Elmer and Lillie Frances Simon Wilson.
Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
