Maxine H. Goodnoe, 67, of Olivet, died Aug. 25, 1996, at Hayes Green Beach Hospital, Charlotte, where she was taken after being stricken at a neighborhood picnic.

Mrs. Goodnoe was born in Lee Township, Calhoun County, the daughter of Harry and Olive (Anderson) Ripley and was a lifelong Olivet area resident. She was a farmer with her husband on the family farm and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three daughters, Donna (Ronald) Piepkow of Springport, Susan (Michael) Thompson of Charlotte, and Peggy (Dennis) Milbourn of Olivet; one son, Duane (Jean) of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four brothers, Oral Ripley, Orval "Tom" Ripley, and Arlo Ripley, all of Marshall, and Aaron Ripley of Olivet; three sisters, Pauline Ordiway of Kingsley, Joliet Sebastian of Charlotte, and Julietta Cox of Albion.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Services were Aug. 28 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel, Charlotte, with Nay Sebastian officiating. Interment was in the Bosworth Cemetery near Olivet.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton County Humane Society.
