DEATHS
Mr. J.G. Seargent, one of Lincoln county's best citizens, died at his home Sunday of blood poison, in his 70th year. He had been confined to his bed for about three weeks and his death was not a surprise to those who had been with him in his illness and had seen him suffer most intensely, all of which he bore without a murmur, trusting in the Lord and believing that He moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform. Mr. Seargent was a member of the Christian Church, joining in his early youth, and was a most devout christian. He was born in Albemarle county, Virginia, but has spent the greater portion of his life in Kentucky. The Interior Journal extends its sympathies to the bereaved.

The body of Mr. J.G. Seargent was removed from his farm on which it was buried 14 years ago, to Buffalo Cemetery, last week. Dr. Seargent had it done so that all the family could be buried together. Although buried on a hill, the coffin had entirely disappeared and nothing but the skeleton in water appeared.
