Lynn Allen Maddox
Lynn Maddox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Maddox died Tuesday in an Omaha hospital. The body was returned to Benkelman and funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Foster at the Laughlin Funeral home Thursday morning with interment in the Benkelman cemetery.
Lynn was 14 years of age. He had been afflicted with Bright's disease for some time and during the past month his condition had been critical. On Friday of last week Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Anderson, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Maddox, took him to the Omaha hospital. Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Maddox are brother and sister.
He was a bright, affectionate and likeable boy and his heartbroken parents have the deepest sympathies of many friends in Benkelman in their loss and deep sorrow.
Lynn Allen Maddox, son of Jennie and Terrell Maddox, was born at Buckingham, Colorado, September 21, 1927, and departed this life at an Omaha hospital on September 2nd, 1941, at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 8 days.
Lynn started to school at Scotia, Nebraska, at the age of six years, then moving to Benkelman the 7th day of October, 1936, attending school here since that time. He will be greatly missed by his father, mother, two. sisters, Shirley Jane and Carrol Ann, and one brother, Ralph Ivan, and all his playmates.
