Mr. Thompson was born June 18, 1935, in Hartzell, Mo. He was employed as a freight truck driver for Federal Express and had been a driver for Advance Cab Co., Benton Harbor.

Survivors include: his wife, the former Louise Ostrom; one son, Michael Thompson of Paragould, Ark. ; two daughters Mrs. Leon (Nancy) Ezell of Heber Springs, Ark. and Sharon Fry of Paragould; his mother, Mrs. Minerva Thompson of Benton Harbor; five brothers Jerry of Stevensville, Zackie of Pipe Creek, Texas, Wayne of Fort Worth, Texas, Ronnie of Swifton, Ark., and Larry of St. Joseph; three sisters Marilyn Stouddard of Battle Creek, Clara McLaughlin of Berrien Springs and Diana Tyma of Auburn, Ill. two stepdaughters Sandra Thompson of Sturgis and Karyl Fain of Benton Harbor; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
