Mrs. Emma Jane Jones, died May 2, 1939, at the age of 81 years, 247 Wilson boulevard, Kansas City, Kansas. She died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. O. B. Cobb, rural route 2, St. Joseph. Se had ben visiting there several months. She leaves four other daughters, Mrs. Eliza Wolkemper, 5330 Euclid Ave., Mrs. C. A. Russell, Merriam, Kansas, Mrs. W. F. Isely, Fairview, Kansas, Mrs. C. E. Ellis on the home, two sons, Earl H. Jones, Lincoln, Mo., and Robert C. Jones 1900 North Eighth St., Kansas City, Kansas, three sisters, Mrs. Cicely O'Roke, Fairview, Kansas, Mrs. Eliza Skinner, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Josephine Doyle of Chicago.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the George H. Long mortuary, 10th St. and Barnett Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Burial in the Pleasant View cemetery at Shawnee, Kansas.
Mrs. Jones was born near Fairview and spent the early part of her life here. The family has been gone for 30 some years. The farm tenanted by W. E. Smith belonged to Mrs. Jones.
