Martha Jane Dodd Wilson, 76, of Montana Mines Community, passed away Saturday (March 13, 2004) at Wishing Well Manor.

She was born May 6, 1927, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Harry Edward and Daisy Toothman Dodd.

Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Montana Mines United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included collecting bears, baking and shopping. Martha loved life and enjoyed being around people. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, David Hoult of Morgantown, Dennis E. Wilson and Anna Mae Robinson of Montana Mines, and Lawrence Dale Wilson and his wife Stephanie of Montana Mines; a daughter Donna Preston and her husband Tom of Doddridge County; grandchildren, Tommy Preston, David Dale Hoult, Kaitlyn Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Autumn Wilson and Anna's son Capen; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Y. Wilson in 1989 along with all her brothers and sisters, Mildred Coen, Mary Snider, Lawrence Dodd, Ernest Dodd, Chester Dodd, Charlie Dodd and John William Dodd.

Friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, Monday 1-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery following the service.
