Keturah Anna Comfort, widow of Theodore Comfort, died Saturday morning at her home at Scotchtown after an illness of four months, at the age of 61 years, four months and four days. She was born December 26, 1859, at Scotchtown, a daughter of Alexander Sloat and Matilda Fanharm. April 12, 1887, she was married at Scotchtown to Theodore Comfort. Mrs. Comfort was a graduate of the Albany State Normal School and was for 25 years organist of the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving members of the family are two sons, Charles A. Comfort, at home; and Newman Comfort, of Chicago; two brothers, Stephen Sloat, of Rahway, N.J., and Emmett Sloat, of Monticello. She is also survived by one sister, Mary J. Sloat, of Bloomfield, N.J., and by three grandchildren.
