Elmer H. Kueter, 80, of 801 S. Lincoln Drive, Howards Grove, died at his residence on Monday, December 19, 1988.
He was born September 22, 1908 in the Town of Herman, a son of the late August and Laura Bramstedt Kueter. Elmer attended Millersville Elementary School and later was employed as a leather cutler by the Sellinger Glove Co. of Sheboygan, for 16 years.
Elmer continued his trade in Milwaukee as a leather cutter retiring in 1972.
Elmer Kueter married Mildred Schumacher at Mildred's parents' home on September 4, 1940. Elmer was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town Herman.
Funeral services for Elmer Kueter will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at 8 p.m. Zimmer Funeral Chapel in Howards Grove. The Rev. Wayne Drueck, pastor of Immanuel U.C.C. will officiate. Committal services will be held at the chapel following the funeral service. Burial will be in the Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery in Town of Herman. Friends of Elmer Kueter may call at the Zimmer Funeral Home, in Howards Grove, on Wednesday, from 3 p.m. until time of services.
Survivors of Elmer Kueter include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Jerome, of DePere, WI and James, of Waupun, WI., three grandchildren, Lisa, Chris and Amy; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Schneider, of Howards Grove and Mrs. Norma Seivers, of DePere, WI; three brothers, Lester Kueter, of Sheboygan; Gordon Kueter, of Town of Herman and Armond Kueter of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by one son.
A memorial fund has been established in Elmer Kueter's name.
