Mr. Harry Ray Haire, 73, of 825 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, South Carolina, entered into rest at 9:39 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 1959, at an Augusta hospital after an illness of five days. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of North Augusta with Dr. W.E. Spears and Dr. L.W. Corder officiating. Interment will be in the Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tom McKie, Talmadge Belding, E.P. Eubanks, Sam Bodie, Kenneth Garvin and W.A. Cleckley. Honorary pallbearers will be Spiers Whitton, Maj. W.K. Carswell, J.J. Dorn, Robert Mealing, Ed Zeigler, W.H. Morgan Jr., Marry M. Wall and Bob Carswell. Mr. Haire was a retired official of the C. and W.C. Railroad and had resided in North Augusta for 23 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leita Woodward Haire; one son, Byron Woodward Haire of North Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. L. Gordon Robinson of North Augusta and Mrs. T.E. Schneider of Augusta; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harriet Cullum of Birmingham, Ala., and several nieces and nephews. Elliott Sons.
