Louvenia Blanche Carr-Gray, 87, of Mount Airy, formerly of Sykesville, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Lorien Nursing Center in Mount Airy.

Born July 1, 1924, in Chilhowie, Va., she was the daughter of the late William and Lockie Louvenia Baldwin Nathan. Twice married, she was the wife of the late Robert Carr and the late Wilbur Gray.

She had been a homemaker for most of her life.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Boggs, of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Phina Mullins; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville
