Grafton – Mrs. Emma Kirchgatter, 85, died Friday at the Good Samaritan Home, Mason City. She had been there four years. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Carlton Rohr will officiate. Burial will be in Grafton Cemetery.
Born Emma Walk, February 14, 1879, she was the daughter of William and Bertha Walk. She was married in 1895 to Gustav Kirchgatter.
Surviving are seven children; Mrs. Lydia Kruger, Grafton; Mrs. Gusta Larson, Minneapolis; Mrs. Lloyd Lang, Milwaukee; Mrs. Esther Kreiger and Mrs. Vera Bublitz, Mason City; Earl, Osage; George, Riceville; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband and a son, Benjamin, preceded her in death.
