Maxine D. Bennett, age 92, of Annapolis, MO, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, in Pilot Knob, MO. She was born June 30, 1919, to the late Charles Adams and the late Odessa (Upton) Adams, in Vulcan, MO. She was united in marriage to George Bennett on December 24, 1937, of this union 2 children were born. Maxine spent her life as a mother and home maker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Charles G. Bennett of Clarksville, TN; one daughter Mary K. (Joseph) Michals of Jacksonville, MO; two sisters, Wilma Dean of Des Arc, MO and Elma Meyers of California; along with four grandchildren, Toni, Sophie, Sara,and Charles; five great grandchildren, Jon, Maya, Claire, Gracie and Samuel, and one great great grandchildren Liliana.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Ralph Adams, Ray Adams, and Ellis Adams; four sisters, Naomi Meyers, Minnie Britton, June Wright and Thelma Murphy.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 31, 2011, beginning at 4:30 p.m. for family, 5:00 p.m. for friends at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 1, 2011, beginning at 1:00 p.m. also at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Interment was at Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc, MO.
