CLINE, Vesta Pearl 89, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2011 at Eaglewood Care Center. She was born in Oldtown (Greene County), Ohio, on January 14, 1922, the daughter of Everett Edward and Clara Elnora (Hockett) Le Valley. She worked at Yost Superior during WWII and also worked for a short time at Possum School. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing bingo at Elderly United (now United Senior Services). Mrs. Cline is survived by four sons, David H. (Sharon) Ballentine, Keith A. Cline, Bruce M. (Debra) Cline, and Timothy L. Cline, all of Springfield; one daughter, Carla D. (Steven) Yates of Florida; one step-son, Carl E. (Phyllis) Cline Jr. of Florida; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, three brothers: Paul E. LeValley of South Carolina; Raybourn A. (Nancy) LeValley of Florida; and Richard D. (Betty) LeValley of Springfield; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Anna Fernung. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl E. Cline Sr. in 1985; a brother, Everett Junior LeValley in 1979; three sisters: Wanda Juanita in 1920, Dallas Yvonne in 1924, and Karen S. Gray in 2010; a daughter-in-law, Joyce A. Cline in 2011. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplin Chad Vickers officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
