Frank George Bichlmeier, 88, who lived at a nursing home at 7541 Switzer Street in Overland Park, passed away Saturday at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He was born in Yankton, South Dakota, and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1930. Mr. Bichlmeier was a custodian at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and School in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee. Mr. Bichlmeier was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the Peter Smith Chapter of the American Legion.

He was survived by a son, Dr. Franklin G. Bichlmeier, of Mission, Kansas, and three grandchildren. The Rosary was prayed on Sunday evening at the Amos Chapel, where the family received friends. The Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Monday morning at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Shawnee.
