Daughter of John Bennett and Ann Edgar. Came to America with her father, a sister, and two brothers, on board the ship Shenadoah, arriving in Philadelphia on July 12th, 1851. She married Samuel Martin and lived in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania where two sons were born; James Albert and William John Martin. Her husband died in 1861, and she then relocated to Richland County, Wisconsin. Her father and brothers were living here at that time. She then married David Young in 1865. They had three children; Annie Belle, David Mitchell, and Margaret Ann Young. They lived on a farm near Gotham at first, then sold the farm and moved into town. They later relocated to Albert Lea, Minnesota and lived with their daughter, Maggie King.
