Funeral services for Sam J. Sutherland,81,of
Glidden were held Thursday,September 23,at Henneke Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Huth officiating.Burial was in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.

He was born September 7,1899,to Henry R. & Mollie Jackson Sutherland in Stockdale,Texas.He married Lena Schulenburg April 21,1934.He lived in Glidden for 62 years where he was a retired Railroad Clerk and rancher.

He is survived by his wife,Lena Sutherland of Glidden;one sister Mrs.Mary West of Abilene,Texas;and his nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bobby Haddock,Ford Sifford,Raymond Sutherland,Earl Conner Jr.,Bruce Conner and Dan Beavers.
