Mr. William Wakely was a pioneer to the area, living on a farm north of Harvard for 61 years. Born in Albany N.Y., 89 years & ten months ago. He was married to Joanna Hunt in 1850 and Mrs. Arabelle Cochrane in 1880. He had seven children. Mr. Wakley was a boot and shoe maker by trade working in the city along with maintaining his farm. All his life he was a man of remarkable activity and untiring energy.
