Longtime resident of Miami Mr. Marion Frank Zajic passed from this life on Saturday August 27, 2011 in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.

Marion was born August 28, 1923 in Miami, Oklahoma to his parents Frank E. and Letha Zajic.

Marion served his country faithfully during WWII in the United States Air Force. He owned and Operated Miami Lumber Co. for many years.

On August 11, 1945 Marion took Mary Jane Stein as his wife in Miami.

Marion was a faithful and dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church and served as deacon for many years. He has invested many hours on the golf course enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his buddies. Marion had a wonderful life and lived by one quote he found many years ago, "Let me live by the side of the road and be a friend to man."

He is survived by 2 Daughters: Gretchen and husband Phil Thompson of Grove, Oklahoma and Jane and husband Ken Berryman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1 sister: Virginia Timmermeister of Lima, OH, 4 Grandchildren: Gynna Thompson, Jeff and wife Lora Thompson, Amy Berryman, Brittany and husband Terry Hjerpe, 3 Great Grandchildren: Liddy, Laird and Leah.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents, Wife: Mary Jane Zajic of 56 years, 1 Brother: Richard Zajic. Memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church September 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Helen Hutchison officiating. Services are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home.
