-Peter Michael (Mike) Knolla, age 63, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho passed away on February 27, 2007. Mike was born in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13, 1943 to John and Marguerite Knolla.
-After graduating from Kapaun High School in 1961, Mike joined the Marine Corps and served 4 years with an Honorable discharge.
-He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bonnie; 7 children: Tina, Shelly, Gary, Nikki Jo and Peter, Pam and Missy by a former wife. He has three Grandchildren: Jessy, Brittney, Matthew, and #4 Andrew Michael is expected at the end of March; 7 brothers and 4 sisters: Pat, Steve, Martha, Kathy, Rene, Dan, Paul, Mark, Bill and Peg from the Wichita area and Tim from Crystal Springs, Pennsylvania
-Hopefully you have had the pleasure of experiencing Mike on his colorful journey through life at one of the following locations: Dania, Florida; Frisco or Craig, Colorado; Pine Bluff, Monticello or Blytheville, Arkansas; Clinton, Mississippi; Berwick, Pennsylvania; Sacramento, California; Lewiston, Idaho; Anchorage, Alaska; Mobile, Alabama; Haysville, Kansas; Wichita, Kansas; Winterhaven, Florida and the Coeur d'Alene/Spokane area and probably more that we don't know about. And if you didn't know him, you don't know what you missed. He was one of life's great characters.
-Viewing will be held Thursday March 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Friday March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
