F. C. Gallon died Saturday, February 24, 1962 in Alva. He was born December 15, 1872 at Albert, Kans., and was the first white baby to be born in Barton County, Kansas. He came to Oklahoma in 1894 and homesteaded north of Alva, and still owns his homestead. He has lived in Alva for the past 32 years.
Daughters, Mrs. Emma Erdman, Mrs. Oma Alderson, both of Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. Marie Dennis, Enid, OK, and Mrs. Dorothy Rose of Woodward; sons, John and A. A. of Alva, and Lester of Altonna, Kansas.
