Obit at Union Democrat Newspaper: Nelsine McAllister former Tuolumne County resident died Wednesday at the hospital in Burney. She was 93. Mrs. McAllister was born to Peter and Ellmine (Jespersen) Petersen in Waterloo IA. She moved to Blair NE in 1914 where she grew up on the family farm. She attended nursing school at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha NE. She graduated in 1929. Mrs McAllister moved to Columbia in 1938 where she lived in the old red school house with Fred and Edna Rouse. She worked as a nurse at the Mother Lode Hospital in Jamestown and for Dr. Donald Farrell until 1940. She married Cecil McAllister on 26 Dec 1938 with him built a home near Columbia in 1947. Cecil preceded her in death in 1954 and two great- granddaughters. She moved to Great Falls MT 1972 then to Burney in 1988. Survived by daughter Joan McAllister of Columbus MT and grandson Eric McAllister of Park City MT and four great-grandchildren. Service will be held in Burney. Burial will be at Mountian Shadow Cemetery in Sonora (she buried with her husband)
