Troy E. Brown, 89, of 712 E. Wood, died at 3:10 a.m. today [2/21/1989] at the Paris Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for 18 days. He was retired from International Harvester Corporation, where he was employed for 37 years.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday [2/23/1989] at the Sutton and son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vermilion Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born Nov. 12, 1899, in Edgar County, the son of Robert and Golda Evinger Brown. He married Edna Knight Jan 14, 1926, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Gordon K Brown, of Decatur, GA; two sisters, Mrs. H. W. (Lucy) Raffety and Mrs Lloyd (Nila) Wallace, both of Paris; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and 3 sisters.
He was a member of the Baptist Church of Decatur, GA.
