Jean Iris Poston Daniels, 88, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation , 4300 MacArthur Ave., Suite 245, Dallas, Texas 75209.
Jean was born Dec. 10, 1922, and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She married Howard Austin Daniels Sr. in 1944. Jean was an Army wife who proudly supported her husband's military career. She will be greatly missed by her family whom she loved dearly. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, retired U.S. Army Maj. Howard A. Daniels; parents, Clarance and Margaret Poston; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors: Children, Howard Daniels Jr. and wife, Rita, Evelyn Dreyer and husband, Darrell, David Daniels and wife, Cathy, and Laura Cairo and husband, John; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
