E.A. Regenold Sr., of Wilson, aged 63 years, died in Methodist Hospital, Memphis, Monday afternoon after an illness of two weeks.
In commenting on Mr. Regenold's death, the Memphis Press Scimitar said:
"Every community has its individual who has slowly and often unconsciously built up a reputation for 'putting things over' or 'getting things done'."
In the case of Wilson, Park., that individual was E.A. Regenold, Sr., of the Lee Wilson Lumber Co., who died at 1:45 p.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital after two weeks illness of uremic poisoning. He was 63.
Mr. Regenold, a native of Savannah, TN, connected with the Wilson Lumber Co., for 25 years, enjoyed widespread popularity and took part in every civic movement of importance. He was a brother of Mrs. Burke Culpepper and C.S. Regenold of Memphis, and the son of Mrs. Fred Regenold, who makes her home with Mrs. Culpepper.
Mr. Regenold leaves a wife, who was Fannie Sumner of Paris, Texas; two sons, S.A. Regenold of Wilson and E. M. Regenold of Armorel; and a daughter, Mrs. J. Bryan Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church and Wilson with Dr. O.B. Culpepper of Memphis, brother-in-law of Mr. Regenold, officiating. Burial was made in Paris, Texas.
