VARD J. "JUNE" TAYLOR, age 90, Cynthiana, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Madison County, March 16, 1921 to the late, Jerry Vard and Hallie Perkins Taylor, he was a retired Eaton employee, a member of Cynthiana Christian Church and the Cynthiana Elk's Lodge #438. Mr. Taylor was a World War II United States Army veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Marjorie Hixon Taylor; a son, Michael Craig Taylor; a daughter, Shannon Taylor Murphy; two brothers, Ralph Taylor and James Taylor and two sisters, Eula Taylor Cobb and Virginia Taylor Benton.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Veronica Smiley Taylor, Cynthiana; four grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Taylor, Lexington, Andrew Michael (Abbey) Taylor, California, Matthew Cullen (Whitney) Taylor, Florida and Lisa Murphy, Florida and a great grandson, Thomas Horton.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home by Pastor Eddie Benton. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Administration Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Building 27, Floor 2, Hospice 27-2, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Aaron Taylor, Andrew Michael Taylor, Matthew Cullen Taylor, Eddie Benton, Kenny Benton and Charles Benton.
