A very pretty wedding took place Saturday noon at the residence of Mr and Mrs. Pratt Blank, when Miss Mildred Coykendall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coykendall of Livonia, became the bride of Carl Drain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Drain of Honeoye. The double ring service was performed by the Rev. G. E. Henshaw of Honeoye. The bridesmaid was Miss Mildred Blank and the best man was Mr. Fayette Coykendall, brother of the bride. The bride was dressed in white net over white satin and wore a veil. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaid wore a gown of changeable green taffeta and carried pink sweet peas. Little Janice Drain acted as flower girl. A golden rod chain was carried by Gladys and Frieda Drain and Althea and Madolyn Sleight. Mrs. Floyd Caskey of Canadice sang "O Promise Me," and Mendelssohn's wedding march was played by Mrs. Frank Allen of Honeoye. After the ceremony dinner was served to one hundred and twenty guests. Fourteen were at the bride's table. The house was decorated with yellow and white. Guests were present from New York, Canandaigua, Bristol Center, Honeoye Falls, West Bloomfield, Canadice, Honeoye, Batavia, Caledonia and Livonia, besides many from Hemlock. Prenuptial events included a variety shower given by Miss Muriel Collins at her house and a shower given by the Christian Endeavor society at the house of Mrs. D. S. Owens. The young couple received many beautiful gifts. The bride's gift from the groom was a string of pearls. After an automobile trip through the eastern part of the State, Mr. and Mrs. Drain will make their home in Honeoye.
