He married Jeanette Williams on May 2, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He lived in Brigham City, Utah, where he graduated from Box Elder High School, and lived in Plymouth, Utah since his marriage.
He was a high priest in the Belmont First Ward. He had served as Bishop of the Plymouth Ward for 12 years and for 15 years as Bishop's Counselor.
He filled two LDS Missions, the first to the Southern States, and the second with his wife to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He had served as Sunday School Teacher, Ward Teacher, Sunday School Superintendant, Stake Missionary, and was a member of the Stake Sunday School Board in both the Box Elder and Bear River Stakes.
He had been an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple.
He played the banjo in both the Brigham City and Plymouth Orchestras for 30 years.
He had owned and operated a farm in Plymouth, Utah. He had been a guard and inspector at Thiokal, and a crop inspector for the ASCS office in Tremonton, Utah.
Surviving are his wife, Plymouth, Utah; three sons and three daughters: Boyd O Josephson, Garland, Utah; Garth Josephson, Plymouth, Utah; David W Josephson, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Stanley (Anna Marie) Peterson, Orem, Utah; Mrs. Donald (Emily Jean) Markgraf, Springville, Utah; Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Haas, Oroville, California; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph Abraham Josephson, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Karl L Josephson, Brigham City, Utah.
