Edward (Duke) Lafferty, 80, 1713 Quarry Road, Apt. 216, Marion, died at 6 am. Saturday in his home, after a short illness.
Born in Herbst, Mr. Lafferty spent most of his life in Marion. He was retired from Local Finance, Marion, where he was employed as a controller. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Marion, and the Masonic Lodge. He also served two terms on the Mairon School board.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 1 pm. Tuesday in the Needham and Son Funeral Home, 814 S. Adams St., Marion, with the Rev. Donald Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Mairon IOOF Cemetery.
