Mrs. Jessie Lyon Grosvenor Dies Tuesday At her Home in Chicago

At 4 o'clock Tuesday, in Chicago, occurred the death of Mrs. George B. Grosvenor. Mrs. Grosvenor had been ill for the past three months and her death was not unexpected. Jessie Lyon Grosvenor was born in Dubuque, Ia., June 8, 1861, daughter of the late Co. D. E. Lyon and Cecilia Howard Lyon. Mrs. Grosvenor attended the schools in this city and was a resident here until her marriage to George B. Grosvenor on Oct 10, 1888. Since her marriage she has made her home in Chicago. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Graham Bethune II and George Howardl also by two sisters, Mrs. Annie Tileston, and Mrs. A. Y. McDonald, and a brother, George T. Lyon, all of this city.
Mrs. Grosvenor was of a sunny, happy disposition, and during her long illness was very patient. The remains will arrive from Chicago Wednesday evening and will be taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. A. Y. McDonald, 61 Prairie Street, where the funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday, May 4th. Burial at Linwood will be private.
