JENNIE E. MADDOX:
Jennie E. Maddox, 82, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, December 8, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born December 22, 1919, in Tebbetts, to the late John and Alma Ewens Dolman. She married Guy Oscar Maddox on May 20, 1939 in Fulton. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1971.
Survivors include a son, Clifford Maddox of Jefferson City, two daughters, Carol Burns of Jefferson City and Sharon Tippet of Holts Summit, a sister, Marion Branch of Fulton, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grand-children. She was also preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
Mrs. Maddox was a lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area. She attended school in rural Callaway County. She was employed as a cook with the Jefferson City Public Schools for twenty years until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City.
Services are at 11am Thursday in the Freeman Chapel in Jefferson City with the Reverend Janet Hoyland officiating. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4-7pm on Wednesday at the Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the charity of the donors choice.
